Ian Bain
Instrumentation Application Specialist
Ian comes to Gerrie Electric with over 25 years experience in the process instrumentation world with over 6 years of that spent working at Endress+Hauser and over 14 years at Lakeside Process Controls.
His strengths lie in analyzing process parameters and selecting the best, most economical technology for the application.
Ian lives in Mississauga with his wife, two stepdaughters and their three dogs.
Majid Kakaee
Process Services Technician
Majid is a graduate of control engineering at University of Technology with master’s degree in communication engineering.
He is working as (Endress+Hauser) Authorized Service Provider (ASP), with a solid background in control and instrumentation field for troubleshooting, commissioning and calibration using software and technology. Majid worked on Honeywell DCS and ESD, PKS Experian, Safety Manager, Safety Builder, Emerson DCS Delta, HIMA Smart Safety. Performed on-site, repair and/or installation control and measurement instruments of customer equipment on existing and new plant equipment and processes.
Luke Young
Group Manager
As manager of the Services & Solutions business within Gerrie’s Automation Group, Luke supports the Instrumentation, Rockwell Automation Services, and Gerrie Process Teams. Luke is a master electrician who owned/operated a successful electrical & communications network infrastructure contracting business in the Niagara Region for many years. His experience with designing, installing, and maintaining power, controls, instrumentation, and network infrastructure systems in the industrial marketplace, combined with his service business management skills, assist him in leading this group within Gerrie Electric.
Caroline Morton
Service and Solutions Program Coordinator
Caroline part of the Automation Group and is responsible for promoting and execution of Gerrie Electric and Rockwell Automation services & solutions to customers. Caroline the key point of contact for all activities relating to customer success, training, ASP services, Services & Solutions projects and customer contracts.
Matthew Oberding
Junior Automation Service Technician
Matthew is a graduate from Mohawk College, completing the Electrical Engineering Technology course with a focus on Control. He has also completed training with Rockwell for Authorized Service Provider (ASP) services.
Matthew has experience in the automation control field over various industrial industries where he can assist and implement DCS/SCADA, PLC and computer-based control systems. Matthew also has experience in drive start-ups and electrical control panel auditing.Darby Blake
Channel Asset Management Professional
Darby is a part of the Automation group and is responsible for logistics related to remanufacturing and parts management. She has worked as a welder in manufacturing and repair shops for nearly a decade. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for sustainability, she is the driving force behind our Repair and Inventory+ programs.
She lives in Hamilton with her partner and four cats.
