What you will be doing
The Project Coordinator role provides a high level of quality in project delivery for projects of any level of complexity and size.Â
Consistent with Gerrie’s commitment of service excellence to our customers the role will follow proven project coordination/management processes to deliver value to our customer with an on time, on budget right the first time approach. Documentation of project delivery will be done to the highest industry standard monitored and measured by the Gerrie process.Â
Working closely with the Project Service team the major job responsibilities are for the coordination of project delivery to contractors for projects of any level of complexity and sizeÂ
Ensuring timely delivery of products and solutions while maintaining close cost controlsÂ
Coordination of approval packages with suppliers and consulting engineersÂ
Complete project documentation following Gerrie proven processes and practicesÂ
Creating schedules of values, preparation of progress billings and assisting with amendments to existing purchase orders (i.e. change orders)Â
Coordinate credit issues with Gerrie credit department and/or related Branch Manager or Account ManagerÂ
Coordinate pricing of change orders with suppliers and internal Gerrie resources as neededÂ
Ensure project close out documentation is complete including As-build packages and warranty letters from SuppliersÂ
Ensures issues are escalated to appropriate management for prompt investigation and action as requiredÂ
Keep PSGS and others informed about project status and issues that may impact customer relations and project successÂ
Provides input to PSGS for revenue and margin forecast for managed projectsÂ
Interact with customers and suppliers in a professional and timely mannerÂ
Work with project service team in maximizing project delivery processesÂ
Help the branch with any requests that they may have including but not limited to mitigating risk for project disputes and proven practices in project coordinationÂ
Adhere to the company’s standard policies and proceduresÂ
What you bring to the table
5+ years in the electrical industryÂ
Technical college diploma and/or project management diplomaÂ
Established relationships with manufacturers and contractorsÂ
Excellent knowledge of the electrical industry and productsÂ
Technical knowledge of electrical distribution products and solutionsÂ
Ability to interpret distribution single line drawings and lighting and lamping layoutsÂ
Experience in Excel, word, PDF Converter, JDE is an assetÂ
Excellent math and organizational skillsÂ
Must be personable, sales orientated and possess a good work ethicÂ
