What you will be doing
This position is responsible for maintaining the servers in our datacenter. This includes patching, updates, security, upgrades, performance, and backups. You will be working with the IT department and business to ensure our servers are current and secure. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following
Manage and Maintain Core Systems and Infrastructure
Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, network infrastructure, and operating systems.
Ensure system reliability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
Perform system updates, patches, and configuration changes as required.
Provide Technical and User Support
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
Support users both in-person and remotely, providing Tier 1–2 assistance.
Evaluate and respond to critical business system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Monitor Risk and Ensure Business Continuity
Maintain backups, disaster recovery plans, and data protection procedures.
Monitor systems 24/7 to detect, assess, and mitigate potential risks or outages.
Report and escalate system risks or incidents proactively to IT leadership.
Collaborate and Communicate Across IT Teams and Vendors
Work closely with IT colleagues to align infrastructure initiatives with broader IT goals.
Partner with vendors and service providers for maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Communicate clearly and consistently on system health, incidents, and project progress.
Maintain IT Compliance, Documentation, and Standards
Keep accurate records of configurations, assets, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and data governance requirements.
Support audits and contribute to continuous improvement of IT processes and documentation.

System Reliability: Maintain 99%+ uptime across systems and networks.
Issue Resolution: Reduce response and ticket closure times.
User Satisfaction: Deliver responsive, high-quality support with minimal recurring issues.
Security & Compliance: Ensure a secure IT environment with no major breaches.
Project Delivery: Complete IT initiatives within scope, budget, and timelines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is based at our Burlington, ON head office and requires regular in-office presence. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to our Burlington location for in-person collaboration, meetings, and team activities. Applicants must reside in the Burlington region or within reasonable commuting distance to our head office. This ensures effective participation in our team-oriented culture and supports our commitment to employee engagement and collaboration.

What you bring to the table
Expertise in Windows Server and Microsoft 365 (Active Directory, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint).
Strong grasp of networking, cybersecurity, and system troubleshooting.
Skilled in IT support, ticketing systems, and documentation.
Experience with virtualization, cloud platforms (Azure), and backup solutions.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and effective at resolving complex technical issues.
