Techspan® S3 | Copper Split Bolt Connector for Two Conductors 6 AWG-2 AWG

The S3 Copper Split Bolt Connector is a mechanical connector used to join two conductors in electrical power distribution, grounding, and bonding systems. It is manufactured from high-strength copper alloy for long-term durability and resistance to corrosion and season cracking.

This Type S split bolt connector is designed for equal run and tap conductor sizes from 6 AWG to 2 AWG. It can be used with a wide range of copper and copperweld conductors and is also approved for conductor-to-rebar grounding connections.

The true hex head design allows installation with common hand tools, including torque wrenches, sockets, box wrenches, and open-end wrenches. When tightened to the recommended torque, the connector creates high contact pressure for a reliable electrical connection. The pressure bar design helps improve conductor retention and pull-out resistance.
