Aluminum Black Pre-Insulated Splicer/Reducer 250 kcmil–10 AWG | Techspan® IISRB250

The IISRB250 is an aluminum black pre-insulated in-line splicer/reducer for joining or reducing conductor sizes. It is designed for 250 kcmil to 10 AWG conductor connections and supports a wide conductor range of 500 kcmil to 14 solid.

This connector is made from high-strength aluminum alloy. It is dual-rated for aluminum and copper conductors. It is rated for 600 volts and 90°C. The product is cUL listed and marked AL9CU.

The splicer/reducer comes pre-filled with oxide inhibitor. This helps reduce oxidation and helps keep moisture and contaminants out of the contact area. Removable access plugs cover the screw and conductor ports for added protection before installation.

The connector is factory pre-insulated with clear, high-dielectric-strength plastisol. The black insulation is UV resistant. It is also abrasion- and chemical-resistant and will not support combustion.

This product is suitable for use in cable trays, raceways, ducts, and troughs. It helps reduce installation steps by removing the need for taping. It is a practical option for contractors and installers working with aluminum or copper conductor connections where a pre-insulated in-line splicer/reducer is required.
