Aluminum Clear Pre Insulated Splicer/Reducer 350 kcmil - 10 AWG | Techspan® IISR350

The IISR350 aluminum clear pre-insulated splicer/reducer is an in-line connector for aluminum and copper conductors. It is used to splice or reduce conductor sizes in electrical installations where a protected, insulated connection is required.

This connector is made from high-strength aluminum alloy. It is dual-rated for aluminum and copper conductors and rated for 600 V and 90°C. The listed conductor range is 350 kcmil to 10 Sol., with a wide conductor range of 500 kcmil to 14 Sol.

The connector comes pre-filled with oxide inhibitor. This helps protect the contact area from oxidation, moisture, and contaminants. Removable access plugs cover the screw and conductor ports to help keep contaminants out before and during installation.

The body is factory insulated with clear, high-dielectric-strength plastisol. The insulation is abrasion-resistant, chemical-resistant, and will not support combustion. The page also notes that black insulation is UV resistant.
