Aluminum Clear Pre-Insulated In-Line Splicer/Reducer, 14 AWG–1/0 AWG | Techspan® IISR1/0

The IISR1/0 Aluminum Clear Pre-Insulated Splicer/Reducer is an in-line connector for aluminum and copper conductors. It is designed for conductor sizes from 14 AWG solid to 1/0 AWG stranded, with a wide conductor range up to 500 kcmil–14 sol.

The connector is made from high-strength aluminum alloy. It is dual-rated for aluminum and copper conductors and rated for 600 V and 90°C. The product is cUL Listed AL9CU and RoHS compliant.

This splicer/reducer is factory pre-insulated with clear, high-dielectric-strength plastisol. The insulation helps reduce the need for taping during installation. The product is also abrasion- and chemical-resistant and will not support combustion.

The connector is pre-filled with oxide inhibitor. This helps prevent oxidation, moisture, and contaminants from entering the contact area. Removable access plugs are supplied over the screw and conductor ports to protect against contaminants before and during installation.

This product is suitable for use in cable trays, raceways, ducts, and troughs. It is intended for electrical connection work where a clear pre-insulated in-line splicer/reducer is required for aluminum or copper conductors.
