The CCT24 Copper C-Tap is used to create tap or parallel connections on copper conductors. It is designed for electrical and grounding applications where a reliable crimped connection is required.
This connector is made from high-conductivity copper alloy to support dependable electrical performance. Its heavy-wall construction helps the joint stay firm after crimping and reduces relaxation after installation. The “C” shape design allows faster positioning around the conductors, which helps make installation more efficient.
The CCT24 supports a run conductor range of 2 solid to 2 stranded AWG. The tap conductor range is 8 solid to 4 stranded AWG. It requires one crimp and uses die index C. The listed Penn Union tool is TPU-12B. The required wire strip length is 7/8 inch.
This copper C-Tap connector is CSA listed for electrical and grounding use, cUL listed, RoHS compliant, and RUS accepted.
