It's time to rethink what a distributed control system can do: Rockwell Process Solutions
PlantPAx Library Version 3.5
The Rockwell Automation® Library of Process Objects is a predefined library of controller code (Add-On Instructions), display elements (global objects) and faceplates that let you quickly assemble large applications with proven strategies, rich functionality and known performance.
Built with consideration given to international standards, such as color, functionality and symbols, these objects are a good fit for many industry sectors.
Computer virtualization is the process of constructing a virtual (instead of physical) computer hardware platform by executing software program (hypervisor) between the actual hardware and operating system(s). Virtualization allows users to abstract the operating system and application software from the real hardware. Virtualization has benefits that apply to both traditional enterprise IT and industrial automation, such as server hardware consolidation, lower energy consumption and reduced physical server footprint.

Thin Client Technology
Thin Client Technology can reduce operational cost while providing a more robust and secure SCADA infrastructure. Learn how ThinManager software extends this capability to the plant floor. By acting as a centralized management solution, ThinManager will seamlessly integrate with your current PLCs and HMI while providing a number of features, tools and methods of access, which make it simple to monitor and adjust user sessions from anywhere.
IIoT and Converged Plantwide Ethernet
One of the major paradigm shifts in modern control system design is the network design. Historically network designs were done after we had completed an overall controller design. We would layout specific controllers for specific processes with their associated I/O and devices and then connect these devices with specific networks based on their control disciplines. In a modern system, the network design takes place first. A converged Ethernet network allows us to provide a single network architecture that can be logically segmented.
