What you will be doing
The Process Business Development candidate will be responsible for the Business Development for our Instrumentation & Valve business. The role is mainly focused on growing our Process footprint within our Industrial & OEM base of customers. This role will provide insights and recommendations related to Product and Vendor alignment to support the required growth of this area of our business.
SALES RELATED DUTIES
Sales growth and account development with our Process business. Utilize CRM to maximize efficiency throughout our sales process
Create a target portfolio of customers by Region for growth pursuits
Interpret drawings and specifications to create or assist in creating customer proposals
Working with Branch Sales teams and Automation Account Specialists to drive attachment opportunities where applicable
Provide market pricing information to our Process team to ensure we have acceptable market level pricing
Identify potential new solutions or Vendor alignments to grow our Process business and present the opportunity to our Process Business Consultant and Services & Solutions Manager
Follow up on select opportunities/quotes/proposals and provide feedback regarding proposals
Provide input for social media and/or digital marketing activities related to Process business
Review Sales Funnel Opportunities bi-weekly with the Process Business Consultant
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and support on select customers
Regular submittal of expense and call reports. Call report will be done in CRM
TECHNICAL RELATED DUTIES
Interpret drawings and specifications to create or assist in creating customer proposals
Participate in internal technical and/or product training
Solve technical challenges for customers with assistance from our Vendors & Process Business Consultant
GENERAL DUTIES
Interface with key suppliers as directed
Assist in Vendor sales and/or marketing meetings as required
Participate in Customer related Gerrie or industry events as directed
Obtain knowledge of competitors products and solutions to better create or defend our solution for the customer
Interface with internal and external customers in an ethical and professional manner
What you bring to the table
Candidate must hold a diploma from a related technologist program
Must have excellent computer skills and be fluent with Excel
Must have excellent math skills
Candidate must have at least 2-4 years’ experience in a similar position or positions that relate to products and services in the Process sector
Ideal candidate would have had customer sales experience
A strong Process background is preferred
